Caution - GMO! Do we actually know what we eat ?

Monsanto, the world's largest producer of genetically modified GMO seeds, for decades at the center of controversy due to evidence of the harmful effects of genetically modified foods. An US study showed association Monsanto's Roundup herbicide with infertility, cancer, Parkinson's disease and other diseases.

Roundup herbicide destroys the soil so that it contaminates, and it becomes impossible to produce healthy, organic foods on it with traditional farming methods. Once farmers use Roundup, they are forever compelled to use crops based on Monsanto chemistry as unhealthy and a disaster for the environment, where the actual crop yields are lower than in organic farming. The main ingredient in Roundup, glyphosate is dangerous, for which the study found to be very harmful and that enhances the harmful effects of other food chemical residues and environmental toxins. The negative impact on the body is insidious and manifests slowly damaging the cells of the whole body. The consequences are a number of diseases and conditions associated with the standard American diet, including gastrointestinal disorders, obesity, diabetes, heart disease, depression, autism, infertility, cancer and Alzheimer's disease.

Jeffrey M. Smith discovered the relationship between the diseases related to gluten and genetically modified food. Sensitivity to gluten has risen sharply over the past two decades, which is associated with farmful GM food. Genetically modified foods, including soy and corn, has led to the fact that only in the US, where GMO crops were planted for years, one in four is allergic to gluten, which is found in wheat.
Bt-toxin produced from genetically modified maize drilled holes in human cells. Glyphosate and other GMO components associated with the five states that can trigger or worsen disorders associated with gluten. Consuming foods with glyphosate has a major role in the development of diseases related to gluten.

GMO causes tumors and shortened life expectancy

One study examined how Monsanto's Roundup herbicide corn impacts rats on a long-term. Research conducted on rats lasted two years as opposed to the earlier - on the basis of which the GMO was declared harmless, but that lasted only three months. The results showed that GM maize can cause tumors and shortened life expectancy. The mortality rate was twice as high, and kidney and liver damage as much as five times higher than the average. It was found that 93% of the tumors in females occurred only in the second year of life, which would correspond to a human age of 35-40 years. Based on research conducted in Italy, it was found that rodents fed GM corn developed an dysfunctional immune system. Russian scientists reported the results of two years of research during which it was found that hamsters fed GM food in third generation completely lost the ability to reproduce.

France has recently introduced a ban on the use and cultivation of Monsanto maize MON810 and thus joined the list of countries, including Italy and Poland, which are the last few years have imposed a ban on GM maize. Russian lawmakers have proposed legislation that would punish all producers of GMOs which are hazardous to health or the environment. A draft of the Law Board initiated to activities related to GMO equate with activities that can lead to endanger human life and terrorism.

Farmers committed suicide because of the inability to repay debts

In India in 1997 around 200,000 farmers committed suicide because of the inability to repay debts. The debt bondage poor farmers hoped after they believed the promises of multinational corporations such as Monsanto of rich returns if they purchased and sown their genetically modified seeds. Farmers have to borrow to buy seed and pesticides offered while up to that point for thousands of years sowing the seeds used in the previous harvest. The following season, many were surprised when they had to buy new seeds for sowing, which continued year after year. Farmers no longer managed to repay the loans, and the worst were those which were destroyed besides crops to drought due to climate change, on which the seed was not resistant. At Monsanto fields in India because of savings even children work and even up to 13 hours a day while many of the farmers tried to save the family from bankruptcy by selling a kidney. Monsanto faced the wrath of the farmers in November 1998 when the local association of small farmers burned Monsanto's trial field in Sindhanooru in the state of Karnataka.

Why are the bees dying?

Also, various experts have been trying to figure out the mystery of the disappearance and death of bees. The US Department of Agriculture in the case of deterioration of colonies given the context in which pesticides are very possible cause behavioral disorders bees, their disappearance or death. According to the survey, it is estimated that in the United States on an average pollen are of nine different pesticides.

The infamous Agent Orange

Monsanto research reveals a very dark History. During the Vietnam War, Monsanto has contracted the manufacture and supplied the US government with harmful chemicals for military application. Together with other chemical giants at that time, Monsanto produced the toxic herbicide Agent Orange, which contained large quantities of lethal chemical dioxin. Between 1961 and 1971 the US military sprayed is between 50 and 80 million liters of this herbicide throughout Vietnam jungles, forests and strategically favorable position. It is estimated that about 400,000 people died or were mutilated of this poison while 500,000 children were born with defects while up to 2 million people suffering from cancer and other diseases. Millions of American veterans who were exposed to the herbicide also suffered. Due to the use of this terrible poison people in Vietnam still suffer from cancer and other diseases, while children are born with many defects, also there have been many miscarriages reported.
